English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC)

What is the purpose of ELAC?

The purpose of the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is to provide opportunities for parents of English Language Learners to supply positive advice and assistance to the district and school in making decisions that concern programs for limited English proficient (LEP) students and other students that qualify for additional assistance. The parents of children enrolled in these programs should be an active part of the decision-making process affecting their children, and be provided with the opportunity to make recommendations on issues addressing their children's special needs.
